Do you want an exterminator to get rid of your rats and mice without spending a lot of money or entering into a long-term contract? Our rodent plans are for you! For the above plans we will return 5 to 10 days after the intial visit and then every three weeks to check the traps and bait stations. During the initial visit we will do a thorough inspection of the property to see what is attracting the rodents. We will then let the customer know of all possible entry points. Most small repairs/exclusion work Eco Elite will perform for the customer. We will then set traps in the appropriate places to get rid of your problem. Such places include attics, crawlspaces and garages. Also, we will place rodenticide bait stations outside of the home. The bait stations we use are tamper-proof so animals and humans cannot open them. We will then return in 5 to 10 days and then every three weeks to check the traps and rodent stations. Between these visits, if any issues should arise, we will promptly return for free and take care of the issue. Similar service with other pest control companies could cost anywhere between $300—$600!

Rodents can be a much more serious problem than one realizes. According to Washington State University (WSU) there are five problems caused by rats and mice:

1) They eat food and contaminate it with urine and excrement.
2) They gnaw into materials such as paper, books, wood or upholstery which they use as nest material. They also gnaw plastic, cinder blocks, soft metals such as lead and aluminum, and wiring which may cause a fire hazard.
3) Rats occasionally bite people and may kill small animals.
4) They, or the parasites they carry, (such as fleas, mites and worms) spread many diseases.
5) Rats can damage ornamental plants by burrowing among the roots, or feeding on new growth or twigs. They also eat some garden vegetables, such as corn and squash.
Rats and mice are socially unacceptable. These rodents have been a problem for centuries, chiefly because they have an incredible ability to survive and are so difficult to eliminate. In addition, they are extremely compatible with human behavior and needs.

At Eco Elite we believe there are certain steps that need to be completed for proper rodent control. First, we must exclude the rodents from getting inside the house. This includes sealing up any holes in the foundation, garage, crawl space etc. while at the same time eliminating their food source. Food sources can range from bird seed to pet food to our own trash. Next we need to control population, usually done through trapping. The final measure is to use rodent bait stations on the exterior of the home.
