Types of Bees and Wasps in the United States

Types of bees and wasps that may threaten your home or business include:

Stinging Insect Pest Prevention Tips

Like many insects, wasps and bees are drawn to the resources made available by humans. Stinging insects often build nests in the eaves of roofs or feed on discarded sugary drinks and food around trash cans.

To prevent wasps, hornets, and other stinging menaces from invading your space, keep it tidy by:

  • Wiping up spilled drinks
  • Vacuuming or sweeping up crumbs
  • Cleaning out your trash can

You can also put out traps designed to lure in and capture wasps. If you choose a reusable trap, be sure the captured wasps have fully died before you empty it out.

Stinging Insect Control

Keeping your outdoor space clean and setting traps may minimize your chances of a stinging insect problem, but this won’t fully resolve the problem. Additionally, handling a stinging insect situation on your own could lead to painful stings (or worse). We offer both wasp control and bee control for your peace of mind.
